Summer Bedroom Styling ideas with Logan & Mason

Relaxation and a restful night's sleep is imperative to our good health. The bedroom is my favourite room of the home (closely followed by the kitchen). As the year comes to a close I like to freshen my bed linen, pillows, sheets and cushions with a new look to welcome a bright new year of making memories.

Logan & Mason are one of my favourite stores for luxurious quality bed linen, with one of the most diverse ranges of duvet covers NZ has to offer. I was so excited when they invited me to choose my new year style from their beautiful products (happy dance). So, here’s what I selected, and why.

I think of a new year as a blank canvass and love the minimalism of crisp white bedlinen. I have dark carpet in the bedroom which i’ve offset with industrial silver bedside tables and a baroque style clear acrylic lamp for a little bit of 17th Century extravagance. I wanted an almost white duvet cover set with some sort of pattern or texture; but something in a shade a little darker than my walls. Look what I found! Logan & Mason’s Essex stone duvet cover set is exactly what I had in mind. It’s simple yet sophisticated, with a subtle herringbone pattern you can see close up. It’s so soft, I can barely coax Maddox off the bed (of course he thinks I did all this just for him).

The white border and black trim enable you to accessorise with pretty much any colour. I can never have too many cushions so I grabbed a couple of matching Essex stone cushions in different sizes and a lovely cute white square cushion with a striped pattern that will go with any duvet cover. I paired the cushion with a versatile white waffle throw which also looks great in the lounge room. Win!

The final piece I couldn’t pass by when it caught my eye was the velvety dark green cushion with a turquoise reverse side. I needed a splash of colour and this was ideal. I LOVE having fresh flowers in the bedroom, so the green side of the cushion accentuates the greenery and the reverse side pairs like a dream with my print.

Big shout out to Logan & Mason, thank you for being you! I’m so happy with the outcome and just love crawling into my beautiful sleepy sanctuary at the end of a long; but productive day.

I’d love to know what you think of this look, leave me your comments!
